The full-body running system

RUN STRONGER.
TRAIN SMARTER.

Turn every run into a full-body workout. RunHybrid combines running and controlled upper-body resistance in one continuous system.

The performance gap

Running trains your legs.
We activate the rest.

Traditional training separates cardio and strength. RunHybrid closes that gap with a motion-focused resistance system built around the way you already move.

One connected system

Weighted running is where it starts.
The system takes it further.

RunHybrid connects the training structure, purpose-built equipment and a developing digital layer. Each part has a clear role—and each one is designed around movement.

One Method. Three Levels.

The RunHybrid Method™

Every RunHybrid workout follows the same simple structure: 21 seconds of work, 11 seconds of recovery and 7 rounds per training block. Complete 7 blocks for an approximately 28-minute main session. As your fitness improves, progress through three intensity levels.

Why not traditional weights?

Built for lifting.
Not for running.

A conventional symmetrical dumbbell creates three fundamental problems when it swings at running speed.

Three problems · select an impact area
01 / Hand + wrist

Wrist fatigue

The symmetrical weight swings like a pendulum, repeatedly loading the hand and wrist as you run.

02 / Hip

Hip collision

The lower head of a conventional dumbbell can strike the hip as the arm swings naturally beside the body.

03 / Forearm

Forearm fatigue

Controlling the dumbbell’s pendulum motion forces the forearm to work continuously throughout the run.

Engineered for motion

Meet the
RunHybrid™ dumbbell

Traditional dumbbells were not designed for running. Every detail of the RunHybrid dumbbell is shaped around movement, control and practical use.

01

Rubberized dual-material shell

A durable, impact-conscious outer shell combines a secure rubberized grip with a structured protective body.

02

Adjustable internal weights

Choose 1.00, 1.25 or 1.50 kg by adding the two identical 250 g inserts housed inside the upper cap.

03

Anti-roll flat cap

Set it upright when you put it down. The flat cap resists rolling, while the head-weighted centre of mass helps it remain standing instead of tipping over.

04

Sweat Channel

Engineered grooves guide sweat away from the palm to support a more secure grip during movement.

Optional grip accessories

Adapt the handle
to your conditions.

Slip-on neoprene grip sleeves are designed to fit over the handle when you want an additional layer between your hand and the dumbbell.

01

Sweat management

Helps absorb moisture and maintain a more comfortable contact surface during demanding sessions.

02

Cold-weather comfort

Adds a thermal barrier between your hand and the dumbbell for outdoor training in lower temperatures.

03

Personalized feel

Provides optional cushioning and a softer grip for runners who prefer a more comfortable handle.

Founder story

It started with
two rocks.

Nuremberg, 1989.

Before there was a method, a product or a name, there was a simple experiment: running with a rock in each hand. The idea was instinctive—ask more of the upper body without giving up the run.

That first improvised session stayed with the founder. Years of training, testing and refinement turned the original question into a structured method, then purpose-built equipment, with technology becoming the next layer rather than the starting point.

Frequently asked questions

Start with
the essentials.

Clear answers about the method, equipment and what comes next.

What exactly is RunHybrid?

RunHybrid is a full-body running system that combines a structured interval method with motion-focused handheld resistance. It is designed to bring more of the upper body into a session while you continue to run.

Is it just running with dumbbells?

No. Weighted running is only the entry point. The RunHybrid Method defines the timing, progression and three training levels, while the purpose-built equipment is shaped around movement rather than traditional lifting.

How does the 21/11 method work?

Work for 21 seconds, recover for 11 seconds and repeat for seven rounds. Seven training blocks create an approximately 28-minute main session, or roughly 45–50 minutes including warm-up and cool-down stretching.

Which weight should I start with?

Start conservatively and prioritize natural arm movement and control. The adjustable concept supports 1.00, 1.25 and 1.50 kg configurations, but the appropriate load depends on the individual and the session.

Do I need the app to train?

No. The method and equipment can stand on their own. The digital companion is a developing future layer intended to make interval guidance, load selection and progression easier.

When will the equipment be available?
